Head coach rushed to hospital after collapsing in 3rd period.

A scary scene on Saturday night, head coach is rushed to hospital after collapsing in the 3rd period.

I have a frightening situation to report on tonight.

According to multiple reports, Saint John Sea Dogs head coach Travis Crickard has suffered some kind of episode behind the bench tonight, resulting in him collapsing during the early moments of the third period. The incident occurred during a game between the aforementioned Sea Dogs and the Cape Breton Eagles, in Cape Breton.

The game would be called with 19:06 left remaining on the game clock as medical professionals tended to Crickard, with Crickard eventually being transported to hospital.

While there is obviously a great deal of concern regarding Crickard's well being, there is some good news to report here as well. Crickard was conscious when he left the arena and is being transported to hospital, so hopefully he is going to be able to make a full recovery from whatever has impacted his health tonight.
