Golden Knights give the Flames a freebie in must win game tonight
Are the divisional rivals best buds now!?
The Calgary Flames are fighting for their playoff lives tonight and just received some much needed help from their opponent.
The Flames need to win their final two regular season games, including tonight's game against the Vegas Golden Knights, if they have any hope at qualifying for the playoffs. They'll also need the Minnesota Wild and/or the St. Louis Blues to lose in regulation this evening.
Thankfully for the Flames, the Golden Knights are planning on going easy on them tonight and will be resting star players Mark Stone, Jack Eichel, Alex Pietrangelo, Noah Hanifin and Adin Hill.
Of course, the Flames can't count on the Golden Knights rolling over this evening but their challenge did just get a bit easier. Again, it could all be for nothing if either the Wild or the Blues earn a single point this evening.
The Flames may have a 1 in a million shot of pulling things off but to quote the infamous Lloyd Christmas... "So you're telling me there's a chance..."
