Gaudreau sister target of disgusting comment about brothers' passing.

In the wake of the terrible and tragic deaths of brothers Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, I am happy to say that there has been an amazing outpouring of love and support from teammates, hockey fans, and figures from all across the sports world. It has been truly heartwarming to see the legacy that both Johnny and Matthew have left behind with seemingly everyone having nothing but wonderful things to say about both men who were taken from us far too soon.

Unfortunately that hasn't been the case with everyone and in a truly unbelievable display of cruelty, callousness and perhaps even downright evil, the sister of both Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau has been the target of what I can only describe as a truly disgusting comment.

Although Katie has not published on her Instagram since the passing of her two brothers, a post she published roughly one month ago was inexplicably targetted with a vile comment. The comment, made by user 'gearing_grace' placed the blame squarely on the shoulders of the Gaudreau brothers, who were struck by an alleged drunk driver while cycling.

"Maybe next time your brothers will pay attention to the road," wrote gearing_grace on Instagram.

I can't imagine what would compel someone to publish something so disgusting and do so while targeting the sister of two deceased young brothers who were killed in a horrible tragedy. I am happy to report however that those who have noticed the comment have quickly rallied to Katie's defense.

Katie, who was forced to cancel her wedding that was initially scheduled to take place just hours after the family learned that Johnny and Matthew had passed away, has had enough to deal with without being the target of such a vile individual. I would ask if you have the time to please try and send some love her way as I have no doubt that she could use a little support, especially in light of some of the heinous comments she has had to deal with over the weekend.
