Full details of Corey Perry's new contract with the Oilers.

Financial details of Perry's new deal with the Oilers, including his 3 new performance bonuses.

Corey Perry is officially an Edmonton Oiler.

The Oilers announced they had signed Perry to a new deal on Monday morning, indicating that Perry would earn the league minimum salary on his new contract that would include a number of performances bonuses. The Oilers did not provide any details regarding those bonuses but they could be important as far as the team's cap hit is concerned down the line.

Don't worry though as I've  got you covered with information on all 3 of Perry's new performance bonuses, performance bonuses that could earn him an additional $325,000 over the length of his new deal. Here is how they break down:

1. If Perry appears in at least 10 games he will earn his largest performance bonus of $225,000.

2. If the Oilers advanced beyond round 2 of the playoffs and Perry has appeared in at least 50% of their playoff games up until that point, or merely 50% of the games in the second round, he will earn an additional $50,000.

3. If the Oilers advanced beyond round 3 of the playoffs and Perry has appeared in at least 50% of their playoff games up until that point, or merely 50% of the games in the third round, he will earn an additional $50,000.

All of these bonuses seem quite reasonable and if anything they will serve as additional fuel for Perry when the games matter most, although that tends to be when "The Worm" shines his brightest anyways.

Perry's new deal comes with no form of trade protection, although it seems extremely unlikely the Oilers would seek to trade him before the trade deadline.
