He's made his thoughts clear.

The struggles for the Toronto Maple Leafs in goal continued on Sunday afternoon, as starter Petr Mrazek allowed four goals to the rebuilding Buffalo Sabres en route to a 5-2 setback in the 2022 NHL Heritage Classic at in front of a big crowd at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario.

Of course, Mrazek earned a bit of a reprieve from yet another subpar performance when superstar forward Auston Matthews decided to do his best Paul Bunyan impression, using his stick as the axe and Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dhalin's neck as a giant redwood tree; Matthews has since been suspended two games for his actions.

Not surprisingly, Methot earned plenty of reaction for his viewpoint, with some fans going for the obvious disparity in goal scoring in the careers of both Methot and Matthews.

Of course, there was soon this gem.

Methot retired after playing 624 career games with the Maple Leafs, Columbus Blue Jackets and Dallas Stars. Currently, Methot has teamed up with former TSN reporter Brent Wallace to launch The Wally and Methot Show.
