Former New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators and Vegas Golden Knights forward Oscar Lindberg has reportedly signed a one year contract with the SHL's Skelleftea AIK.
The 31 year old winger last played in the NHL during the 2018-19 season with the Senators, but has played the past four seasons in both the KHL and the Swiss National League. He returns to his native Sweden and his hometown of Skelleftea for the first time since 2012-13.
With today's signing in the SHL it looks like Lindberg's NHL career is likely over. In total he managed 39 goals and 79 points in 252 games over six seasons. His best campaign came in 2015-16 when he put up 13 goals and 28 points in 68 games with the Rangers.
