Former NHLer slams Babcock following his resignation.
One of Mike Babcock's former players did not hold back, unloading on the former head coach of the Blue Jackets.
On Sunday, veteran National Hockey League head coach Mike Babcock was forced to resign from his position as head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets after players allegedly expressed their concerns regarding some of his coaching methods since taking over that position.
It seems very likely that we will hear more details about exactly what went down behind closed doors to eventually lead to such a drastic measure, especially considering Babcock had never officially coached a single game as head coach for the Blue Jackets, but in spite of the fact that we don't have all the information there are many already making their feelings on the matter known.
To no one's surprise, leading the charge on Sunday is former NHL defenseman Mike Commodore, a man who has never been shy of expressing his open disdain of Babcock. Commodore, who played under Babcock during his short tenure with the Detroit Red Wings, uses every opportunity he can to go after his former coach and you knew that he wasn't going to miss the opportunity to do so on Sunday.
Commodore did not hold back either, unloading a tirade on Babcock on social media that once again left no doubt regarding how he feels about the man.
"FOLKS!!!…Let me tweet this loud and clear……
HEY MIKE BABCOCK YOU ARROGANT PIECE OF SHIT…YOU HAVE BEEN A PREDATOR YOUR ENTIRE CAREER…TODAY IT FINALLY CAUGHT UP TO YOU…#PACKYOURSHIT AND GO HOME FOREVER..YOU ARE OFFICIALLY TOXIC."
Commodore even went a step further and revealed that he was treating himself to something special, a bottle of Dom Perignon, to celebrate the occasion of Mike Babcock's resignation.
Given what we've heard about Babcock's treatment of his players, especially when it comes to the Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs and now the Columbus Blue Jackets, Commodore's comments come as relatively little surprise.
