Former Leafs and Isles forward Kulemin returns to the NHL after 6 seasons in the KHL

This guy is 38 years old now!

This just in, the Ottawa Senators have announced that they've signed defenseman Calen Addison and forward Nikolay Kulemin to professional tryout (PTO) contracts.

You read that right... Nikolay Kulemin. As in, 38 year old former Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Islanders forward Nikolay Kulemin. He played his last NHL game in 2018 and has spent the past six seasons playing in the KHL with Magnitogorsk Metallurg and Ufa Salavat Yulayev.

No word yet on whether or not the Sens plan on signing Kulemin's former teammates Mikhail Grabovsky and Clarke MacArthur too...

I kid, of course, but this trio was absolutely electric for some bad Leafs teams in the early 2010s.

Does this ring a bell, Leafs fans?

All the best to Kulemin in his quest to get back to an NHL lineup.
