Here is your recap of the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft!

The 2020 National Hockey League Draft was something else tonight, with all of it taken place online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Round one was be conducted on tonight beginning at 7:00pm and was televised live on NBCSN. 

Rounds two through seven will be conducted on Wednesday, October 7 beginning at 11:30am and will be televised live on the NHL Network.

Two trades took place during the first round of the Draft. The Calgary Flames traded the 19th overall pick to the New York Rangers for the No. 22 pick and the No. 72 selection. Then the Flames sent the No. 22 pick to the Washington Capitals for the No. 24th and No. 80th picks.

Here is the complete order of the first round of the draft.

There was trade. The Calgary Flames traded their 19th pick to the New York Rangers in return for picks number 22 and 72.

There was trade. The Calgary Flames traded their 22nd pick to the Washington Capitals in return for picks number 24 and 80.
