Flyers take shot at Cutter Gauthier in post-game celebration.

The mockery of Anaheim Ducks rookie forward Cutter Gauthier continued even after the game.

After last night I think it is safe to declare that rookie National Hockey League forward Cutter Gauthier has left his mark on the city of Philadelphia, unfortunately for Gauthier however I don't think it is the kind of mark he imagined leaving when he was initially selected 5th overall by the Flyers at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

On Saturday night, Gauthier and his Anaheim Ducks were humiliated at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia in what was expected to be a big game given all of the drama surrounding Gauthier and the Flyers. Gauthier of course famously forced his way out of Philadelphia via a trade despite being drafted so high, a decision that fans in Philadelphia showed on Saturday that they don't intend to let Gauthier forget anytime soon.

Gauthier was treated to some truly brutal chants on Saturday night and although he would attempt to deny that they had any impact on his play or that of his team, the final score of 6-0 tells a very different tale.

It is one thing when it is coming from the fans however, and another matter entirely when it comes from your peers in the NHL.

The Flyers continued the mockery of Gauthier even after they had left the ice where they dominated Gauthier and the Ducks for 60 minutes of hockey, taunting the rookie forward during their post game celebration. The Flyers gave the game belt to Flyers defenseman Jamie Drysdale following the conclusion of the game while stating that the reason for doing so was simply that "Jamie's better" alluding to some of the brutal chants from their fans while also mocking Gauthier in the process.

Here's a look at the video of Drysdale receiving the belt:

This is a feud that I believe is only just getting started.
