This just in, the Calgary Flames have announced that defenseman Rasmus Andersson was struck by a vehicle while riding his scooter in downtown Detroit yesterday evening. Andersson was admitted to a local hospital for treatment and has since been released. He'll remain with the team on their road trip, but will be out of the lineup while he recovers from the accident.
From the Flames:
Obviously this could have ended much, much, MUCH worse. Thankful that Andersson appears to be safe and healthy.
