Flames’ asking price for Lindholm revealed amidst Bruins’ trade interest
I don’t think the Bruins can pull this off…

The Boston Bruins have a huge hole to fill up front following the retirement of captain Patrice Bergeron, and have since been linked to the Calgary Flames in trade rumours. That’s because the Bruins could target Elias Lindholm to attempt to fill the void left by the departure of Bergeron, though Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now talked to a source that reports that the Flames’ asking price would be significant.
“If the Bruins want Lindholm, likely [Jake] DeBrusk,” a source told Murphy. “They don’t want any picks, and the Bruins have none. They want a scoring winger that can make up for [Tyler] Toffoli being traded. There’s probably more that would be in that trade, but DeBrusk would be the target, I think.”
Boston might not be able to make this work and could turn to current roster players hoping they can step up. Pavel Zacha or Charlie Coyle could be used to center the top line if the Bruins don’t acquire a new No. 1 center ahead of the 2023-24 season.
But with the Flames’ high asking price, who can blame them?
