First round pick Yaroslav Askarov pulls off the best goalie celly ever.

Askarov celebrates in style.

The Nashville Predators have a pretty good goaltending prospect in their pipeline and on Friday night he gave them yet another reason to be excited about his seemingly inevitable arrival at the National Hockey League level.

That goaltender is former Nashville Predators first round pick (11th overall) at the 2020 NHL Entry draft Yaroslav Askarov, who on Friday night gave out some lessons on how to properly celebrate a win as a goaltender.

Askarov, who was playing for the Predator's American Hockey League affiliate the Milwaukee Admirals at the time, made the final save in a shootout to secure the win, but it was his celebration after the save that is getting all the attention. Rather than just throw his hands in the air and celebrate with his teammates in typical goalie fashion, Askarov instead pulled off one of the most creative and funny celly's I've ever seen in the sport of hockey.

Askarov quickly pulled his own net down on top of himself as he laid sprawled out on the ice, and then began to mimic a bench press with the cross bar. The whole thing looked great, and no doubt had many in attendance busting out with laughter as I know I did upon first seeing this ridiculous clip.

Askarov has played only one game at the NHL level thus far, a rather forgettable performance in which he had a .886 sabe percentage and a 4.15 goals against average, but hopefully we will get the chance to see him show off his personality at the NHL level on a more regular basis in the not so distant future.
