Fans boo the 'Star Spangled Banner' prior to USA vs Finland tonight
Fans inside Montreal's Bell Centre let the Americans know how they feel!
USA and Finland will both get their first taste of action at the 4 Nations Face-Off this evening, after Canada opened up the tournament with a 4-3 victory over Sweden last night.
As you might imagine, there are some passionate Canadian hockey fans in attendance at Montreal's Bell Centre this evening cheering against the rival United States. American captain Auston Matthews has already been boo'ed every time he has touched the puck in the game so far, but the boo birds were out even earlier.
After the arena PA announcer made a plea for fans to "respect the anthems" well... the didn't:
A chorus of boo's could be heard throughout the signing of 'The Star Spangled Banner':
I've got to say... it may seem a bit depraved, but I'm actually very interested to see how things play out on Saturday evening when the Americans play Canada in Montreal. The atmosphere is going to be electric! Respectful? Probably not. Diplomatic? Definitely not.
But it will be entertaining!
