Earlier today Oilers insider Mark Spector reported that his sources were informing him that Evander Kane had suffered a potential groin injury, information that would now appear to be confirmed.
Kane was not on the ice for warmups with the Oilers prior to tonight's game, and now National Hockey League insider Elliotte Friedman is reporting that Kane will be out of the lineup this evening due to injury.
The Oilers called up Raphael Lavoie earlier today, likely knowing full well that they would need him to step into the lineup to replace Kane.
