ESPN's big “Frozen Frenzy” broadcast this evening hits a major snag
ESPN has been hyping this for weeks!

The Columbus Blue Jackets have been forced to re-schedule their game this evening against the Anaheim Ducks from 6:30pm ET to 8:30pm ET due to a power outage in downtown Columbus, which has affected the Blue Jackets' home rink at Nationwide Arena.
Big deal, right?
Well, the irony of this rescheduling is not lost on this hockey scribe.
The NHL and ESPN have been hyping up this evening for weeks now using the title the 2023 'Frozen Frenzy'. All 32 NHL teams are in action tonight and the NHL staggered the start times of each game by 15 minutes in order to accommodate and all-day broadcast and streaming schedule for ESPN.
Well... that's kind of out the window now.
With the Blue Jackets rescheduling their start time this evening, that puts everything in a bit of a blender. Hopefully the NHL can nail down these staggered starts in the future though, especially come playoff time. There's nothing quite like flipping over to another channel or to the newly proposed NHL style NFL Redzone to see what's happening across the league.
