The extended Toronto Maple Leafs family as well as the entire hockey community lost a legendary player and one of the game's pioneers late last month with the passing of legendary Swedish defenseman Börje Salming due to complications from ALS. Salming, who played 16 of his 21 National Hockey League seasons with the Leafs, had his number retired by the club in 2016.
And Maple Leafs goaltender Erik Källgren is doing his part to keep the legendary defenseman's memory alive. He recently released his latest mask artwork, courtesy of Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt. And the theme is none other than Salming. Take a look for yourself:
