Emotional posts from Gaudreau family depict heartbreak during the holidays

It has to be a tough time for the Gaudreau family, celebrating a first holiday season without Johnny and Matthews. The brothers were struck and killed by a drunk driver while riding bikes in Oldmans Township, New Jersey, on August 29, on the eve of their sister’s wedding, where both brothers were to be groomsmen.

Johnny was 31 years old at the time of his death, while Matthew was 29. Meredith Gaudreau is pregnant with the couple’s third child as the couple shared daughter Noa and son Johnny. Matthew Gaudreau’s wife, Madeline, is also expecting a child, the couple’s first, a son due this month, who will be named Tripp.

Meredith posted two stories on her personal Instagram page on Christmas eve in Day in which she showed presents for her children that were wrapped in a special wrapping paper. On it, a Santa Claus sporting a number 13 jersey, just like their dad.

Johnny and Matthew’s sister Katie also posted an emotional story on her personal Instagram account in which we can see a picture of the four siblings during the holidays 10 years ago.

I keep thinking of the Gaudreau family and sending out prayers to them. I hope the entire felt the presences of Matthew and Johnny during the holiday season.

And that one of the presents sent from above will be healthy babies for the two widows.
