Elias Pettersson “sent home” from practice by Bruce Boudreau.
The Canucks star was sent home by his coach.
The Vancouver Canucks had to practice without one of their top stars on Sunday after the head coach made the decision to send him packing.
On Sunday, Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau confirmed that Canucks star forward Elias Pettersson had been "sent home" due to the fact that the 24 year old was reportedly ill. There was no information regarding the severity of Pettersson's illness but it seems unlikely that he will miss any games.
The Canucks are currently on a bit of a break and won't play another game until this coming Wednesday when they face off against the Calgary Flames, which hopefully will give Pettersson plenty of time to recover.
Although the Canucks have struggled this season, Pettersson continues to be a very productive player for them with 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points in his first 28 games of the regular season. Hopefully he makes a full and speedy recovery from whatever it is that ails him.
