Dylan Cozens and Trent Frederic go to war on Sunday.
Back and forth between Cozens and Frederic in this one.
The Boston Bruins and the Buffalo Sabres clashed on Sunday afternoon in what turned out to be a relatively uneventful affair given the sheer dominance of the Bruins in this one. By the time it was all said and done the Bruins had dispatched the Sabres by a score to 7-0, but the Sabres did not go down without a fight... literally.
As his team was struggling in the second period, already down 4-0, Buffalo Sabres forward Dylan Cozens tried to light a spark under his team by taking on Boston Bruins forward Trent Frederic.
In the early going it looked like Cozens was getting the better of Frederic, with Cozens firing off all of the offense and even dislodging Frederic's helmet at one point, but Frederic may have been merely biding his time. After the initial offensive flurry from Cozens it would be Frederic who would take over, with the Bruins forward throwing haymakers back at his opponent.
After a particularly big shot that dropped Cozens to one knee, the NHL officials stepped in and separated the two men, both of whom put on one hell of a show for the fans in attendance.
