Donald Trump responds to Team USA GM Bill Guerin’s invitation to final vs. Canada
Earlier this week, Guerin talked about how President Donald Trump should be at the USA-Canada final on Thursday. Now this, full details below:
Days leading to Thursday’s final at the 4 nations tournament featuring a riveting game between Team Canada and Team USA, American general manager Bill Guerin spoke about the idea of having President Donald Trump attend the game at TD Garden in Boston.
“We would love it if President Trump was in attendance,” Guerin said to Fox News. “We have a room full of proud American players and coaches and staff. And, listen, we’re just trying to represent our country the best way we can.”
On Wednesday, President Trump reportedly confirmed that he would head to Boston and attend the final game of the tournament. Darren Dreger reported this morning:
‘It is expected that President Trump will make his way to Boston, he may be there already, and he will be at that game, that’s the expectation, that’s what I was told likely yesterday.’
Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau was in attendance for Canada’s first meeting with Team USA this past weekend at the Bell Center in Montreal.
President Trump has been attending several sports events since he was inaugurated as he was in the stands for the Super Bowl and also the Daytona 500 over the weekend.
He is now coming to Boston for the Canada-USA final game of the 4 nations tournament.
