The good news for the Detroit Red Wings is that they've signed future Hall of Famer Patrick Kane to a contract. However, the bad news is that they'll be without another notable U.S. native for their next pair of games.
Captain Dylan Larkin is dealing with an undisclosed injury and will not be playing tomorrow against the New York Rangers, and likely won't be able to play Thursday at home against the Chicago Blackhawks, according to beat writer Helene St. James of The Detroit Free Press.
Larkin has appeared in all 20 of Detroit's games this season, scoring eight goals with 13 assists for a full-season pace of 86 points.
