Veteran forward Miles Wood has been with the New Jersey Devils ever since they selected him in the fourth round, 100th overall at the 2013 NHL Draft.

You know by this that Wood has never been close to winning a championship.

And Wood doesn’t feel like he’s getting closer to the possibility of competing for one as he lashed out and threw his teammates under the bus when he met media on Friday after the Devils’ 5-2 loss at the hands of the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

When speaking with reporters, Wood said, per insider Amanda Stein: “I’m just sick and tired of being on a bad team, that’s the thing that stinks the most.”

He managed to take some responsibility, despite the brutal call, by adding: “Tomorrow is a must-win game for us and it’s my job to get the guys going.”

On Saturday, the Devils host the Detroit Red Wings, who will be in action later today against the Montreal Canadiens.

Wood might talk the talk for now, but he and the Devils need to walk the walk to get into contending position and start winning!
