David Pastrnak blasted for awful defensive effort
It's not a real game, but come on, Pasta!

Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak is now one of the main leaders on the team behind new captain Brad Marchand after the retirements of franchise icons Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci this past summer.
And despite the fact that the games being played right now are of no importance in the grand scheme of things given the fact that they're exhibition matches, Pastrnak has been making the rounds on X (formerly Twitter) for his absolutely putrid defensive effort last night against the Washington Capitals.
Washington's Matthew Phillips skated right past Pastrnak, who put almost no effort into his back checking and appeared completely disinterested as the former subsequently deposited the game-winning goal in overtime past goaltender Linus Ullmark.
Pastrnak may be one of the best goal scorers in the National Hockey League today, but it's certainly concerning to see him offer such a poor effort on the back end - preseason or not.
