Damning video resurfaces just when Max Domi join the Maple Leafs!
Talk about terrible timing…

Max Domi has yet to play a game for the Toronto Maple Leafs, but he will need to apologize to their fanbase. On Monday, the Leafs signed the free agent forward to a one-year deal. The average annual value of the contract is $3 million.
Domi was caught saying it was a no-brainer to join the Maple Leafs, and new GM Brad Treliving mentioned how the gritty forward “has been dying to play here for a long time.”
Well, not so fast, because some fans were able to find an old damning video of Domi in which he explains why he hates the Toronto Maple Leafs… The video was shot when Domi was a member of the Montreal Canadiens, a true Maple Leafs rival. The answer came when he was asked who was his favourite Canadiens’ players while growing up. Since he was a Leafs fan then, Domi says:
“Now I hate the Leafs, let’s make that very clear. I don’t like anything to do with the Toronto Maple Leafs. I’m all Habs now and I’m all Montreal, not Toronto, so.”
This is quite funny to see trending again now that Domi is a member of the Maple Leafs. He will be reunited with his former teammates of the London Knights, Mitch Marner. They played together in London from 2013 to 2015 before embarking on NHL careers.
To be honest, Domi probably gave that passionate answer to please the fanbase in Montreal, but I'm sure some fans will hold a grudge.
When talking about new additions of Tyler Bertuzzi and Domi, Treliving said: “We need a little bit more snot to our game. I think they both bring a bit of that.” Well fans can clearly see that snot in Domi’s video. No doubt.
