Crucial update released on Leafs' Ilya Samsonov
He was shaken up in practice today.

The Toronto Maple Leafs lost goaltender Ilya Samsonov during today's practice session; he appeared to suffer an injury after taking shots. He was seen leaving the ice at the Ford Training Center and immediately speaking with a trainer on the bench before heading to the locker room.
However, the good news for the Leafs is that he's not seriously injured, and according to head coach Sheldon Keefe, is good to go.
The Leafs will certainly want to be careful with the second-year Toronto net minder, who was knocked out of the playoffs this past spring. Right now, they have both Martin Jones and Joseph Woll behind him in the depth chart.
His 2022-23 record of 27-10-5 with a 2.33 goals against average and .919 save percentage was about as good a performance as anyone could have expected, and while his postseason numbers weren't stellar, he was still able to out-duel former Conn Smythe Trophy-winning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy in Round 1.
