Crosby receives distinguished honor from Justin Trudeau
An incredible accomplishment for one of the greatest players of all time.

The federal government of Canada, under the guidance of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have appointed Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby to the Order of Canada. It is the second highest order that a civilian can receive in Canada behind the Order of Merit and it is meant to honor Crosby for “being one of the greatest hockey players of all time and for supporting community service initiatives for youth."
"What a beautiful way to end the year, honouring Order of Canada appointees and learning about the depth and range of their accomplishments," Governor General Mary Simon said in a news release. "Their commitment to the betterment of Canada fills me with pride and hope for the future."
