Crazy rumor involving Corey Perry and Connor Bedard may explain Perry's absence from Blackhawks
This is absolutely wild!

Last week veteran forward Corey Perry reportedly left the Chicago Blackhawks due to what the team is calling an 'organizational decision'.
From Blackhawks insider Mark Lazerus:
Corey Perry, who was scratched last night as a mysterious "organizational" decision, is not on the ice for Blackhawks practice.
- Mark Lazerus
Head coach Luke Richardson added little context to the situation, saying only that Perry is no longer with the team and will not be released at this time.
"I just wanted to start by saying I know you have questions about Corey Perry not playing last night and attending practice today but we’re going to keep that internal in the organization right now. I’m not going to be able to answer any more questions on that."
- Luke Richardson
And to add even more intrigue to this topic, it appears that the Blackhawks' players themselves don't even know what's up concerning Perry.
From veteran teammate Nick Foligno:
“We just know he’s not with us. Haven’t gotten any details. It’s unfortunate; he’s a big part of this. We’ll miss him.”
- Nick Foligno
So... what's going on here?
It's clear that there's something up with Perry and the Blackhawks, but we're not getting any clear info from the usual sources. So... to social media we go!
On Reddit and on Twitter (Or X, thanks Elon...) there is a hot rumor making the rounds that Perry actually hooked up with Melanie Bedard, mother of Blackhawks superstar rookie Connor Bedard.
Some hot takes from Twitter:
Blackhawks insider Charlie Roumelioutis though, is squashing the rumor saying that it's 100% false.
Check it out:
Honestly, I never bought into the rumor.
These are professional athletes... they get plenty of action on the road if they want it. They don't have to go scrounging through the family room to find interested women. To be fair to Perry though, he's married with children. I may not be the biggest Perry fan due to his on-ice antics, but I haven't heard or read anything that suggests he's not an upstanding family man.
Move along, people.
