Crazy Auston Matthews trade proposal sees him land in Alberta
There's no chance of this, right?

What exactly does the future hold for Toronto Maple Leafs superstar forward Auston Matthews in the only NHL city that he's called home so far in his career?
WIth the departure of now-former general manager Kyle Dubas, there has been plenty of speculation that Matthews could soon be on his way out the door due to how close he was with the young executive. Or could he elect to re-sign with the Leafs, but for shorter term than what the fans would like to see?
How about an absolutely crazy trade proposal? We've already seen the Flames make an absolutely insane trade last summer in acquiring Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar in exchange for Matthew Tkachuk. The Hockey Writers is now throwing out a proposal that would send several members of the Flames who reportedly want out.
Their proposal would see new Flames general manager Craig Conroy package Tyler Toffoli, Noah Hanifin and Jacob Markstrom to the Leafs in exchange for Matthews:
"Toronto could move Matthews to Calgary for not one but two or more of the top players that want out. The Maple Leafs could get Toffoli, Hanifin and Jacob Markstrom for Matthews, filling two holes and giving experience and insurance in net. Hanifin joins their top pair, and they got a top-six winger to play with John Tavares and Mitch Marner. Moneywise, with the Leafs having over $9 million in cap space, the $11 million they create by moving Matthews leaves them with over $20 million. The package from Calgary will cost only $15 million, leaving cap space to sign other players."
Okay, what are the chances of this actually doing down? Likely none, but it's fun to dream, right?
