Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube calls out his locker room after a tough loss to a division rival.

It seems as though Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube has reached a breaking point when it comes to the attitude of some of the players in his locker room.

On Saturday night, the Maple Leafs suffered a tough loss at the hands of the Ottawa Senators, a divisional rival in the National Hockey League's Atlantic Division and a suddenly surging team that is looking to potentially do some damage in the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs.

Not only was losing such an important game at such a pivotal point in the season a tough pill to swallow for Berube, but it seemed evident by the coaches comments following the game that he was not happy with the effort he saw from his players.

"They gotta hold themselves accountable to it," said Berune of his players. "They need to make their mind up in the room about the importance of the start of the game and 60 minutes."

Berube was not only critical of the attitude he saw from his players on Saturday night, but also called out their lack of execution on the ice as well.

"I didn't find that we wanted to play our game early enough in this game," said a frustrated Berune. "We wanted to bring pucks back and play slow and try to go through them and we had some chances off the rush, I get all that, but you don't build your game."

In spite of the fact that they remain comfortably in a playoff position the Maple Leafs have played some ugly hockey as of late and it seems their head coach is definitely taking notice. It will be very interesting to see how Craig Berube, who shuffled his lines several times leading up to and during the game on Saturday, tries to get his team to respond over the next several games.

"It's about us getting together here and putting 60 minutes together," said Berube.
