Craig Berube announces last minute change to Leafs lineup.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are making a significant change to their lineup ahead of a clash against the Minnesota Wild on Sunday night, and it is one that I don't think you can blame head coach Craig Berube for making.

According to a report from Maple Leafs beat reporter Lance Hornby, the Maple Leafs will see the return of forward Nicholas Robertson to the lineup this evening with Berube officially announcing the news to media just minutes ahead of tonight's game. Robertson was a healthy scratch on Saturday night against the St. Louis Blues, a game that the Blues would win by a score of 4-2.

It is unclear who will be coming out of the lineup in order to allow room for Robertson, but forwards Pontus Holmberg and Ryan Reaves seem like the most likely candidates. I think the most logical choice here is Reaves, as the Maple Leafs have struggled when he is in the lineup.

The Leafs have gone undefeated this season when Reaves is on the sidelines, and have posted a record of 3-5-1 on the season when Reaves is activated into the lineup. The blame for that poor record of course cannot be entirely attributed to Reaves, but it is an interesting detail worth noting.

Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll was given the start against the Blues on Saturday and stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced, allowing 3 goals and posting a .870 save percentage. Woll will not get the start this evening and instead the Maple Leafs will see their net guarded by goaltender Anthony Stolarz, who has been excellent for them this season.

Stolarz has recorded a 2.45 goals against average and a .916 save percentage over 7 appearances for the Leafs this season, and that despite the fact that just 4 of those 7 appearances have been wins.
