Coyotes take a shot at Connor Bedard and outrage hockey fans!
The Coyotes are again trying to stir up trouble...

There were some good news out of Arizona on Wednesday morning when it was confirmed that team owner Alex Meruelo has executed a letter of intent to purchase a parcel of land in Mesa to be the potential spot for a sports arena and entertainment district for the franchise.
This is some positive outcome finally in the desert as back in May, voters in Tempe rejected the Coyotes’ entertainment district and arena proposal.
For now, the Coyotes will keep playing at the Arizona State University to play at the school’s Mullett Arena. However, the team has also now to deal with a plethora of comments from their statement in which they not only announced the move to purchase a parcel of land located in Mesa, Arizona, but also the bright future coming to the Coyotes thanks to “the incredible additions we’ve made this summer”:
“the top prospect in the world, Logan Cooley.”
At the end of July, the Coyotes signed Cooley to a three-year entry-level contract. He was the club’s first round selection, third overall, in the 2022 NHL Draft.
We’re not saying Cooley isn’t a promising prospect, but the fact that the Coyotes seem to have forgotten about first overall pick Connor Bedard, selected by the Chicago Blackhawks this summer, is ridiculous.
Fans were quick to call out the Coyotes on their statement about Cooley, completely overshadowing the news of a potential destination for the team moving forward.
Here are some reactions on social media:
Cooley is talented, no doubt. Last season, he completed his freshman year at the University of Minnesota and finished as the team’s leading scorer with 22-38-60 and 42 penalty minutes (PIM) in 39 games.
But do we need to remind the Coyotes about Bedard’s performance?
