Connor McDavid suddenly re-inserted in Oilers’ lineup hours prior to tonight’s game!

The Edmonton Oilers are getting some unexpected backup tonight against the visting St. Louis Blues. According to Chris Johnston, captain Connor McDavid will return to the Oilers’ lineup tonight.
Earlier today, the news out of Oilers’ practice was still that McDavid was stil out day-to-day, just like teammates Leob Draisaitl and Mattias Ekholm with undisclosed injuries and were all expected to return before the end of the regular season.
That return reportedly happens tonight for the captain.
McDavid missed eight games with an undisclosed injury for the Edmonton as he has not played since sustaining his injury in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets on March 20.
The superstar captain has 26 goals and 90 points in 63 contests this season.
