He did get suspended this season for an illegal check to the head…

Edmonton Oilers’ captain Connor McDavid is hungry for revenge and looks to even out the series at 1 on Wednesday in the series against the Los Angeles Kings.
He might have however gotten a little too agressive in the first period when he boarded Kings’ Mikey Anderson. Anderson fell awkwardly into the boards with his head, but quickly got up to retaliate on the Oilers’ captain, who did not even look at him. He was busy arguing with the official who sent him to the penalty box for boarding.
Anderson’s teammate Sean Durzi started a scrum to defend his buddy, and defenseman Darnell Nurse was there to protect McDavid. Both were punished for roughing.
This is what happened:
Fans were quick to point out that McDavid might be the NHL’s superstar, but he was suspended two games this season for an illegal check to the head. This hit was also compared to his boarding penalty he handed against the Kings, this time on Adrian Kempe earlier this season.
We won’t know until tomorrow if the league will review the play, but because it’s McDavid, you know it’s trending at the moment.
What do you make of the call?
