Connor McDavid appears frustrated with his own team in Game 4.
Connor McDavid does not look happy on the bench after his team gives up yet another goal.
The Edmonton Oilers captain is showing signs of frustration.
The Edmonton Oilers have struggled in their opening round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Los Angeles Kings and unfortunately for the Oilers that tread continued in Game 4 on Sunday. In spite of the fact that they were playing on home ice, the Kings took a commanding lead after two periods of play, leading the game 3-1 going into the final frame.
It was during that second period that Oilers star forward Connor McDavid would show some signs of frustration on the bench, most notably after the Kings picked up their third goal of the game.
It would be Kings forward Kevin Fiala who would find the back of the net after a terrific pass from fellow Kings forward Alex Laferriere, one that crossed a significant portion of the ice before landing on Fiala's stick. Fiala would split the Oilers defense and finish off a terrific looking play by beating Calvin Pickard and giving the Kings a two goal lead at that stage of the game.
As the camera panned around to show the reactions of different players, it landed on McDavid who was showing clear signs of frustration on the bench. McDavid could be seen shaking his head, as if in disbelief that his team had just allowed that type of goal during the playoffs, and didn't look happy even for a second as he reacted to the incredible goal.
