Connor Bedard’s mom Melanie attempts to get away from Corey Perry rumours

It’s been trending for days, and it feels like it will for many more… As you know by now, veteran NHL forward Corey Perry was placed on waivers on Tuesday with the Chicago Blackhawks announcing that if he clears the wire, he’ll have his contract terminated by the club for “engaging in conduct that is unacceptable and in violation of policies intended to promote professional and safe work environments.”

In the team’s press conference, general manager Kyle Davidson put an end to the crazy rumours involving Connor Bedard’s mother Melanie Bedard. Earlier this week on social media sites like Reddit and X, formely known as Twitter, there was a hot rumour making the rounds that Perry actually hooked up with Melanie Bedard, mother of the Blackhawks superstar rookie.

The GM stated that that no other players or their families were involved, despite speculation to the contrary. Davidson added that anyone who suggests otherwise is “wildly inaccurate” and “frankly, disgusting.”

It seems like Melanie Bedard has attempted to get away from all the noise and mess that the rumours have created for her and her family. When you are looking up for her Instagram account, it is no longer activated, meaning the poor woman probably had to delete her social accounts to get away from comments and messages… Can you imagine what she’s been going through?

It was made very clear by many insiders and now GM Davidson that nothing happened between Perry and Melanie Bedard. The idea that players cannot behave during the Mothers’ trip sounds ridiculous and obviously what Perry did had to be something the Hawks want to step away from, especially with what has occured in Chicago in the past decades - when you think of the whole Kyle Beach scandal.

And so, Melanie Bedard is looking to stay away from the noise, but it has to be hard with Perry, her son and herself trending nonstop for the past days…
