Connor Bedard got smoked at Biosteel Training Camp!

Last week, first overall pick and next Chicago Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard attended the at Biosteel Training Camp and got the chance to work out next to Edmonton Oilers’ top players, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

But it also landed the opportunity to pin him against those same players on the ice in an exhibition match, and let’s just say the young Bedard got a a preview of what’s to come in the NHL, which a tweet rightfully predicting the anticipated outcome:

“Team McDavid vs Team Bedard - I don’t think Bedard’s team stands a chance “

The kid is humble enough, don’t get me wrong, but McDavid’s roster was just too strong with top players like Draisaitl, Ty Dellandrea, Zach Hyman, and Owen Power.

Bedard had Shane Wright, Luca Del Bel Belluz, and Brad Lambert on his side, but in the end, it was the Oilers’ captain and his teammates who won the game. McDavid’s team dominated with the veteran experience and chemistry over the emerging talent of the rookies.

The match up between the two Connors were just a small taste of what we expect to see on the ice when the Oilers and Blackhawks meet during the 2023-24 season. Bedard is set to face the Oilers for the first time on Dec. 12 in Edmonton.
