Classy move by Pat Maroon towards Evander Kane before puck drop in Edmonton

Gotta love this!

In November, when the Edmonton Oilers were in Tampa Bay to face the Lightning, the game was pretty much forgotten once forward Evander Kane rushed out as a bloody mess after Pat Maroon inadvertently stepped on Kane’s exposed wrist with his blade.

Kane had to be rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery to repair the damage after the incident. However, he has returned to the game, sooner than what doctors even had predicted and on Thursday night, the Oilers hosted Maroon and the Lightning.

During the warmups, Maroon tap his stick on Kane as he passed by on his side of the rink and the two veteran forwards met at center ice, probably to chat about the incident and the Oiler’s recovery.

This is a classy move by Maroon, who just like Kane is known to get under rivals’ skin. The two were able to put that aside in time for puck drop.

The Oilers came out on top in a 5-3 victory over the Bolts, in which neither Kane or Maroon recorded a point. However, they won us over with that meeting at center ice prior to the game.
