There was some action on the waiver wire on Tuesday, as one team placed one player on waivers and another one made a claim.
The Seattle Kraken have claimed forward Austin Czarnik off of waivers from the New York Islanders.
Czarnik has collected two goals and five points in 11 games this season.
In 136 career NHL games, Czarnik has 15 goals and 28 assists.
A change of scenery might be what he needs.
On top of that, the Washington Capitals have placed defenseman Dennis Cholowski on waivers.
This is a second time for the blue liner on the wire. The Capitals claimed him off waivers on October 14 from the Seattle Kraken. Cholowski appeared his seven games with Washington this season, recording just one assist and a -4 rating. He was previously selected by Seattle in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft from the Detroit Red Wings. He appeared in 16 games for Detroit last season, recording three points.
He is a former first round pick, who was selected 20th overall by the Red Wings back in 2016. Cholowski has been on a move quite a bit and might undergo another one following today’s news.
