The Boston Bruins were unable to take care of business last night against the Original 6 rival New York Rangers, dropping a 5-2 decision at TD Garden.
However, one of the positives for the home crowd was the presence of Canadian singing icon Celine Dion, who was a guest in the dressing room and delivered an epic starting lineup announcement.
To start things off, Dion poked fun at Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo, who was shirtless when she arrived in the dressing room.
"Thank you so much for getting ready for me tonight," Dion joked, drawing laughter from Carlo and the rest of his teammates.
"Alright, up front. Heinooooo! Heinooooo!" Dion belted out when referring to Danton Heinen. "Hei-know you're gonna playyyyy."
Introducing Davis Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha, she made reference to Pastrnak's famous nickname:
"You make me hungry, Pasta!" Dion said.
"On defense, you better bite, Grizzy," Dion exclaimed when introducing Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk.
"My name starts with a C, and we're going to go for C-Mac," Dion said when announcing Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy.
And as she introduced goaltender Jeremy Swayman, she also made reference to his nickname:
"In goal, you better bite. You better mean it. Bulldog," Dion said.
She and her two sons took in the game in a suite, and she was also seen playing air guitar during the playing of Bon Jovi's hit "Livin' on a Prayer".
