Canadian radio host calls Boston station to take down Team USA!
This is a crazy call you have to listen to. Watch down below:
Popular BPM Sports radio host in Montreal Tony Marinaro took advantage of his Friday morning show to call into the open lines of a radio show in Boston.
To poke some fun at the Americans, who lost an epic showdown against Team Canada last night in Boston, Marinaro wanted to joke about the overtime win when he called the radio station.
Marinaro, who uses the nickname Curly in the call, starts off by playing an angry fan who just wants everyone to admit that the USA isn’t as good as Canada when it comes to hockey. And the call unfolds from there.
However, the WEEI radio show and its hosts were not in the mood after the defeat, and simply hung up on Marinaro.
You can watch the full sequence of how the prank call went down in the video down below:
This is how the hosts of WEEI lived it:
The two North American rivals squared off in an epic clash in the 4 Nations Face-Off final last night. And you could not have scripted it any better. The final game went to overtime between Team USA and Team Canada, and none other than Connor McDavid played the country’s hero, scoring at 8:18 of overtime as Canada defeated the United States 3-2 in a riveting showdown.
McDavid as named game MVP, while Nathan MacKinnon was named tournament MVP.
The boys, led by captain Sidney Crosby, hoisted the trophy and partied in the dressing room.
