Calvin de Haan is silenced after he brutally throws his own team under the bus.

You almost never hear a player in the National Hockey League speak this way about a team that he has previously played for, and it certainly doesn't happen often when that player is still a member of that very same team.

On Sunday, New York Rangers defenseman Calvin de Haan finally had more than he could take and made it clear to members of the media that he was going to be very vocal about what exactly happened with the Rangers this season. The defenseman, who was acquired by the Rangers at the trade deadline in a deal with the Colorado Avalanche, would only play 3 regular season games with the Rangers, registering one assist and boasting a plus minus rating of +4 over those 3 games.

It seems that became a point of frustration for de Haan who did not hold back with his comments about the Rangers.

"How about the way I’ve been treated here? It’s fucked,' said an angry de Haan on Sunday.

The frustrated Rangers blue liner would also inform reporters that he would be "very transparent" about what exactly had gone wrong but he was silenced by the Rangers before he could do so. After making his initial comments, de Haan was spotted talking to a member of the Rangers public relations staff and it was after that conversation that he was no longer so forthcoming.

According to Rangers insider Molly Walker, it appeared to her as though the Rangers very much wanted to prevent de Haan from speaking to the media. That being said, it sounds like we may hear more about this at the end of the regular season, something that I'm sure just about every Rangers fan will be waiting for after today's outburst from de Haan.

Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
