Can you imagine?!

In a recent report, Edmonton Journal’s Jim Matheson talked about star forward Leon Draisaitl’s potential next contract with the Oilers and what the team must do to re-sign the superstar and avoid him looking ahead to free agency.
One club that is paying close attention to the situation is the Boston Bruins, who Matheson claims are willing to do everything in their power to get Draisaitl.
“You don’t think the Bruins would move heaven and earth to get Draisaitl?”
After losing both former captain Patrice Bergeron and veteran forward David Krejci, the Bruins are looking to get a quick and immediate boost up front and Draisaitl could definitely be the right fit.
Boston was believed to be in the mix for former Calgary Flames forward Elias Lindholm, who finallye ended up getting traded to the Vancouver Canucks of the deadline. The Bruins may not want to lose another opportunity and if they get wind that Draisaitl isn’t looking to re-sign in Edmonton, could communicate with the Oilers to make a blockbuster trade happen to trade and sign for Draisaitl.
Could you imagine?
Now, I’ll be keeping a close eye on those contract negotiations in Edmonton, no doubt!
