The Boston Bruins are celebrating their centennial season this year, and goaltenders Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman will be commemorating the historic campaign in Boston history with some rather eye-popping gear.
For the reigning Vezina Trophy winner in Ullmark, he'll be donning some retro gear that will mesh well with the centennial uniforms that the Bruins will be wearing:
Meanwhile, Swayman has introduced a new mask paint job with the centennial celebration as the main focus, painted by his usual artist in Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt:
The emoji-filled description from Gunnarsson is included as always:
"#NewDaveArtMaskAlert 🚨It was so exciting to paint and create Jeremy Swayman’s mask vision🐻🤩. A design paying a tribute to Boston Bruins 100 years anniversary. Thank you Jeremy for the 🐻💯 paint ride! 🙏🏻❤️😊 @jswayman1 @nhlbruins @nhl #daveartfamily #daveartthecradleofcreativity mask: @bauergoalie"
The Bruins' goaltenders will undoubtedly face a challenging season ahead, given that the current roster differs significantly from last year's squad, which managed to achieve a historic 65-win campaign. The question remains whether they can replicate similar performance numbers as last year. Either way, they'll both look good hitting the ice in 2023-24.
