Breaking: Mike Babcock has lost his job in Columbus!

The Mike Babcock situation has finally come to a head.

According to National Hockey League insider Elliotte Friedman, Babcock is expected to resign from his position as head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets this afternoon as a result of the most recent controversy surrounding the veteran head coach.

You have to believe that Babcock has been forced to resign, and that this could very well be the end of his career as a head coach in the NHL.

Update: According to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, the decision regarding Babcock's future may have been made 2 days ago with the last 48 hours spent negotiating his exit.
