This just in, according to multiple online reports Toronto Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman will make his season debut for the team when they face the New York Islanders tomorrow night.

Check it out:

Hyman himself reportedly confirmed the news this morning after the Leafs’ practice.

Hyman has missed the Leafs’ first 19 games and the entirety of training camp after recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL. Hyman underwent the operation following the Leafs’ loss to the Boston Bruins in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The 27-year-old Hyman registered a career high 21 goals and 41 points in 71 games with the Leafs last season and will be counted on to bring some much-needed grit to the team’s forward group this season. His return couldn’t come soon enough as the Leafs lost superstar forward Mitch Marner to an ankle injury this past weekend. It’s expected that Marner will be out of the Leafs’ lineup for AT LEAST four weeks.
