If you're a fan of the Washington Capitals, you have to be incredibly disappointed in the lackluster performance of captain Alexander Ovechkin tonight in what was a very important game for the Capitals.
Despite the Pittsburgh Penguins being without captain Sidney Crosby as well as Conor Sheary the Capitals were unable to prevail, and after the loss Ovechkin focused all of his criticism on one player, himself.
"I didn’t play my game at all tonight. Me personally, I have to play much better," said Ovechkin as per ESPN's Craig Custance.
"I didn’t control the puck well. I make stupid decisions. Unfortunately it happened."
It's exactly what you want to hear from the Capitals captain, unfortunately after so many seasons of disappointments in the playoffs his words may not be enough to sooth the fans in Washington who are not at all happy with tonight's loss.
