Brad Treliving forced to leave Leafs under tragic circumstances
This is just awful.

In case you missed the news yesterday, the Calgary Flames announced that their assistant GM Chris Snow suffered a catastrophic brain injury and is not expected to recover.
Snow, of course, was diagnosed with ALS back in 2019 and has been fighting the disease ever since. He has fought courageously, but it appears that the disease has finally gotten the better of him. Needless to say that our thoughts and prayers are with Chris Snow, Kelsie Snow and the entire Snow family.
Upon hearing the news, Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving flew to Calgary to be with the Snow family and to help support them during this difficult time. Treliving, of course, was previously GM of the Flames and worked more closely with Snow than anyone else in the organization. The pair were very close and you can appreciate that while its difficult for Treliving to leave his job with the Leafs during training camp, it's much, much, MUCH more difficult to have to say goodbye to a close friend forever.
No word yet on when Treliving will re-join the Leafs. Once again, thoughts and prayers to the entire Snow family.
