Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand is one of the best trash talkers in the National Hockey League, and on Friday when he joined the TNT broadcast, he did not miss out on the opportunity of taking a few jabs at host Paul Bissonnette.
Prior to the interview, Bissonnette had been assaulted by a group of men in a Scottsdale restaurant. The former NHL enforcer came to the defense of staff members who were being harassed and six men involved in the altercation were arrested by police. Bissonnette avoided serious injury, and while this is a serious matter, Marchand couldn’t help but poke fun at the former NHLer.

After getting a good laugh at the humour from Bissonnette, Marchand , who had just asked if Biz underwent hair transplant surgery over the offseason, didn’t miss a beat and quickly brought up the recent controversy involving Bissonnette in brutal fashion.

“I’m just trying to look like those guys who beat the wheels off you the other day,” said Marchand grinning from ear to ear as he delivered the line.

The line got a huge laugh from every member of the TNT panel, including Biz himself who appeared to take it all in stride, before adding that Marchand was officially removed from the running for the “Mr. TNT” award this season.

Bissonnette took it a step further on Wednesday night ahead of the Bruins’ game against the Chicago Blackhawks on TNT. He shared an hilarious video, posting as the director of broadcasting safety Peorge Garros, announcing a suspension for Marchand, claiming how the captain was no longer eligible for the Mr. TNT award this season.

The video was shared with the caption: The Department of Broadcast Safety just laid the HAMMER down on Brad Marchand for his attacks on Bissonnette:

You have to love how these two keep it light and have fans laughing all along.

What's even funnier is that on the night Biz announced the fake suspension, Marchand posted two goals in the second period of the game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
