Boston reporter destroys Brad Marchand after being called a liar.

Boston based reporter Rich Keefe goes in hard after being called a liar by Brad Marchand.

I covered the response from Boston radio host Rich Keefe to comments made by Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand last week, but little did I know that Keefe was only just getting started.

Earlier this morning Keefe doubled down on his report suggesting there was friction in the Bruins locker room between the aforementioned Marchand and Bruins star forward David Pastrnak, stating that he stood by his report and his sources and cited his record of accurately reporting on the Bruins. Keefe was confrontational about Marchand suggesting that he had lied, but the radio host took things to another level when it came to Marchand calling for him to be fired.

Keefe went so far as to call Marchand pathetic for suggesting that he should be fired over his report.

"If he's calling for your job, like that's his thing, that's pathetic," said Keefe during his radio show on Monday.

Keefe, who again stands by his report, laughed at the idea that Marchand suggested he should lose his job even if the report was incorrect. Keefe did so by bringing up some past mistakes from Marchand, questioning whether or not Marchand should have lost his job for making mistakes in his own field.

"So basically if any news person or any reporter got something wrong they're done?" asked Keefe. "So if you make one you lose your job? Complete hypothetical let's say you screwed up a line change and cost your team a Stanley Cup, hypothetically in 2019, should you lose your job? It's only one mistake."

Keefe then brought up other incidents involving Marchand, once again mocking Marchand calling for his job.

"Let's said you lick another player on the ice, should you lose your job for that?" asked Keefe.

Keefe then began going in hard on Marchand.

"If Brad Marchand and the Bruins came out against New York, Tampa and Toronto half as hard as they did against me maybe they wouldn't be in this mess," said Keefe eliciting a laugh from his co-host. "Maybe captain your team better, maybe be more accountable in not having your coach get fired, having the worst power play in franchise history, finding a way to miss the playoffs right now."

Something tells me this story is far from over with neither side backing down and hostilities seemingly only increasing as time goes on.

Which side do you believe? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
